Meet Dr. Johnny Nelmar, PsyD, LCPC
As a therapist, my most gratifying moments come from assisting my clients in discovering the paths to transformative changes that enable them to embrace the future with hope. I firmly believe in the importance of having a non-judgmental, compassionate confidant to talk to and confide in. I offer my clients a welcoming, judgment-free space, fostering a secure environment to explore the barriers that may be hindering them from living the lives they desire.

I earned my PsyD from California Southern University in 2023, equipping me with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide high-quality therapeutic services to my clients. My areas of expertise encompass anxiety disorders, phobias, depression, LGBTQ concerns, and marriage counseling. I also have a wealth of experience in working with individuals who grapple with enduring mental health challenges.
Meet Sydney M. Stevens, LCPC
I offer counseling services to individuals, couples, and families in Idaho and Washington through in-person, telehealth, or phone sessions with each session tailored to the individual. This personalized approach combines elements of person-centered therapy and cognitive behavioral techniques to empower clients, fostering targeted support and growth. By integrating these approaches, the aim is to facilitate positive change while empowering individuals to navigate challenges and develop effective coping strategies.
My expertise includes anxiety, depression, relationship dynamics, communication challenges, life transitions, and eating disorders. In my role as a clinician, I prioritize staying informed and am actively pursuing certification as a specialist in this field (CEDS). I’m also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and have a particular interest in working with clients looking to explore the benefits of this intervention.

Meet Joshua Nelmar, PMHNP-BC
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner deeply committed to supporting individuals on their journey toward mental and emotional well-being. My professional background spans acute care, critical care, and psychiatric services, each of which has deepened my understanding of the interconnectedness between physical and mental health.
My passion for psychiatry emerged as I cared for patients who were not only managing physical illnesses but also facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. Witnessing their struggles, I came to appreciate how mental health profoundly impacts every aspect of a person’s life—including the lives of their loved ones. This realization became even more evident during the COVID-19 pandemic, where the importance of holistic care and mental well-being was undeniable.

I am driven by the belief that mental health care should be compassionate, comprehensive, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual. At Mindset Wellness, I am honored to help patients and their families navigate mental health challenges with empathy and evidence-based care. My approach focuses on understanding the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—to achieve lasting well-being and enrich the lives of those I serve.
